Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern Thinks ‘Blacks’ are Lazy and Doesn’t Like Gays Either

Sally Kern bigot racist

Rep. Sally Kern is a bigot

The Representative of the state of Oklahoma, Sally Kern (R-of course), is a hate mongering bigot. Not only does she hate gays, but she’s not crazy about them lazy blacks either. She’s also no friend to women in general, saying they are lazy also. She offered an apology when the backlash started, saying she “misspoke.”

During a 10-minute floor speech Wednesday, she said that African Americans don’t work as hard as whites because they’re dependent on the government. Women don’t work as hard as men because they are dependent on men. Isn’t that lovely.

The NAACP is calling for her resignation. Anthony Douglas, the president of the Oklahoma NAACP said, “You cannot commit racism and then offer an apology for the racist statement that you make.” “The citizens of Oklahoma, the constituents, can no longer stand by and allow this type of action to happen.” Rep. Kern’s statements were also condemned by The Black Legislative Caucus.

GOP House Speaker Kris Steele thinks that apology is good enough, her lame apology is appropriate and that a reprimand is not necessary.

Hatemonger Rep. Sally Kern is also quoted as saying, “We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I’ve taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”

Another racist comment she made is “minorities earn less than white people because they don’t work as hard and have less initiative.”

Black people are not the only victim of Sally Kern’s hatemongering. According to ABC News,

An Oklahoma state representative has received thousands of hostile e-mail messages after she said that homosexuality is a bigger threat to national security than terrorism.

During the speech, Kern said that “the homosexual agenda is just destroying this nation” and that homosexuality poses a bigger threat to the United States than terrorism. “According to God’s word, that is not the right kind of lifestyle,” she said.

“Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than a few decades,” Kern, a former teacher who sits on the education committee, added.

Rep. Sally Kern’s remarks are a reflection of the leadership of Oklahoma. Republicans in the Oklahoma legislature are for a constitutional amendment that will wipe out affirmative action programs in Oklahoma. The proposed amendment passed the Oklahoma Senate and the house.
