Herman Cain, the Pizza Guy, Making a Bid for President

Herman Cain Nutbag Tea Party

Herman Cain was the darling Tea Party wingnut candidate at the first GOP Presidential debate. He captured the crowd’s limited imagination with things like, “One good decision does not make a great President.” Well, how about one good pizza-maker making a good President? Oh … he’s a talk-show host and journalist or something now too.

Some highlights of his his running points are:
He’d like to gut Social Security and privatize it just like Chile
He doesn’t want any damned Muslims in his administration
He thinks Planned Parenthood is an evil conspiracy to kill black babies
He thinks huge corporations should pay no taxes

He apparently is a big fan of the Koch Brothers and attends their meetings.

– The first “serious” GOP contender for the presidency, Herman Cain, is at the Koch meeting. Cain, a talk show host and former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, has been a frequent guest at events sponsored by Koch front groups like Americans for Prosperity. Full Story

Herman Cain has a pretty strong alliance with Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a group that rakes in the bucks by the millions from Big Oil giants like Koch Industries and Exxon Mobil. Drill baby drill … that’s another thing Herman Cain stands for.

Why is Herman Cain so eager to implement policies that would put even more power into the hands of Big Oil? It turns out that last week’s Taxpayer Tea Party in Concord was sponsored by Americans for Prosperity (AFP), a group that has received millions of dollars in funding from foundations supported by oil industry giants Koch Industries and Exxon Mobil.

Cain was joined at the event by fellow GOP presidential hopefuls Tim Pawlenty and Rick Santorum. On April 29, the Americans for Prosperity Foundation (AFPF) is sponsoring a second gathering of Republican presidential contenders in New Hampshire, featuring the same lineup – plus Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann. Expect to hear the phrase “Drill here, drill now!” more than once on that night. Full Story and Video

So now, for those of us who were previously unfamiliar with what Herman Cain stands for, here it is. Money, power, greed, Big Oil, big corporations, gut the Middle Class to keep America’s wealthiest people wealthy. Ho hum. Another one. One thing that I find baffling is how or why a black potential candidate would align himself with such a racist organization as the Tea Party. Could it be that he feels that the only chance he has is by appealing to dimmest bulbs in America? He is quoted as saying, “Americans aren’t as dumb as Democrats think they are,” but in reality, it’s the Tea Party and ultra conservatives who are the anti-intellectuals and don’t feel the need to be constrained by facts when making news, statements or opinions.
