2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner: The Donald is Butt End of Jokes

Donald Trump

As a guest to the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night, Trump arrived with his daughter … uhhh, I mean wife. He reportedly told the WSJ’s Washington Wire that he wouldn’t be afraid to give President Barack Obama a piece of his mind that evening, should the two have a chance to speak. “He’s gotta get tough with all the nations that are ripping off the U.S., such as China.” My advice to Trump is to be careful giving out pieces of his mind. It doesn’t appear that he actually has enough to spare.

From  The Wrap, Trump arrived with his wife to a round of  “boos”:

After giving a brief interview with a group of several of media outlets, Trump — who was invited to the event as a guest of the Washington Post — walked away to a chorus of audible boos from the media members on the press line.  (And it wasn’t because they wanted to hear Trump talk more.)

‘The Donald’ seemed to be a bit stony faced at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Both the President and Seth Meyers, head writer of Saturday Night Live, took jabs at this joke of presidential candidate.

Trump, who continues to boast his presidential aspirations, was one of the dinner’s highest-profile attendees, but he also bore the brunt of the burns from both the night’s two entertainers: President Barack Obama and “Saturday Night Live” head writer Seth Meyers.

“Donald Trump is here tonight,” said Obama. “Now, I know that he’s taken some flak lately but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald. And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, ‘Did we fake the moon landing?’ ‘What really happened in Roswell?’ And ‘Where are Biggie and Tupac?'”

He also joked about the birther issue that Trump has been harping incessantly on. He said he now had a birth video proving his citizenship and showed a clip of Disney’s Lion King. Saying that Donald Trump would bring changes to the White House should he be elected, he showed this picture:

Here’s a video of parts of the President’s speech:

Compared to Meyers, the President was polite when blasting Donald Trump.
